Our Philosophy

• We believe a child’s learning and development begins at birth with tactile experiences, warm and caring interactions and enriching play experiences, both in the home and wider community.
  
  
  
• We believe in learning outcomes that support biculturalism, social interaction, self esteem and preparation for the child’s future.
  
  
  
• We recognise the importance of the immediate and extended whanau, Nanny Educator and Programme Coordinator in providing a safe, consistent and respectful environment for the child’s development.
  
  
  
• We foster and nurture children’s learning throughout their developmental stages by noticing, recognising and responding to their interests, abilities and needs.
  
  
  
• We believe that children need responsive interactions and quality learning experiences to develop their sense of adventure and creativity, social skills and knowledge.
  
  
  
• We ensure that educational resources and professional support are readily available for our Nannies and Educators, children and families/whanau and that information provided is relevant and easily integrated into an educational experience.
  
  
  
• We foster and nurture meaningful relationships with our children and families, Nannies and Educators through regular home visits, individual children’s programmes and Learning Journals.
  
  
  
• We believe in and support the child, family and Nanny Educator to ensure relevant educational experiences are well documented in the child’s Learning Journal for future reflection.
