Reasons for having a nanny….
- The knowledge that your child is getting quality care and education at home, in a safe and familiar environment.
- Siblings can stay together.
- You don’t have to take time off work if your children are sick.
- If you are working from home, a nanny enables you to work without interruption. Then, when it’s time for those coffee breaks, you can spend time with your children.
- Routines are well maintained. This is especially important for young babies and toddlers.
- If you work outside the home, you will return at night to a warm and inviting house with happy and settled children.
- A nanny can work closely with your child to ensure they are happy and reaching their milestones.
- Nannies will take your children to activities you plan for your children i.e. music or gym.
- Nannies can perform light housekeeping duties.
Although we have already thoroughly checked the nannies it is a great idea for you to phone at least one of their referees. You are also more than welcome to phone the office for our feedback on the nannies.
Nannies cost between $15-$20 per hour depending on their qualifications, experience and the job description.
The Nanny is your employee. We highly recommend that you draw up an employment contract and complete a job description. We can supply you with templates for both of these and will automatically email these to you when you have made your decision.
OUR FEES
The following information is designed to assist you to fully understand our fee structure and everything else you need to know about how to use our service effectively. Our fees are due once you have offered employment to an Annie’s Nannies nanny. All fees are GST inclusive.
Please note that, if you meet the requirements for our educational services, there are no agency fees (Christchurch, Blenheim and Nelson areas only at present). Our coordinators will let you know what our requirements are. You may also be entitled to Work and Income subsidies (Christchurch, Blenheim & Nelson only at present) and we can arrange an Application Form for you.
Full and Part Time Nanny Permanent Placements
Full time positions (30 + hours per week ) = $510.00
Part time positions (up to 29 hours per week) = $390.00
Temporary Nannies - 6 Weeks or Less
Agency Fee $25 per day – ask about our Temporary Nanny Club.
Nannies’ wages are $15 per hour.
Families sharing a nanny will be charged an additional $2.00 per hour.
All wages and fees are payable to the nanny at the end of the day.
The Temporary Nanny Club
Membership costs $200. This gives you 10 day’s agency fees for your temporary nanny; saving you $50 (having 2 days free). Your 10 days must be used within 18 months and we will always endeavour to give you the nanny of your choice. Out of hours bookings made on our cell phone will incur an extra charge of $10 per day.
Temporary Sole-Charge Care – Live-In
Agency Fee of $25 per day.
Nannies are paid approx $180.00 - $200.00 per 24 hour period (this can be negotiated between the family & the nanny).
Babysitting Fees (Casual Nannies)
Agency Fee of $25 per babysitter per night.
After Hours Bookings $40.
Nannies are paid $12.50 per hour for up to 4 children from the same family (increasing to $13.00 per hour from 01 April 2010).
Families sharing a nanny will be charged an additional $2.00 per hour.
Cancellation fee of $25 if less than 24 hours notice given.
All wages and fees are payable to the nanny at the end of the day. Public Holidays, Christmas Eve and New Years Eve have different rates please contact the office for more information.
The Babysitting Club
Membership costs $200. This gives you 10 babysitting sessions with a saving of $50
Your 10 sessions must be used within 18 months.
Out of hours bookings made on our cell phone will incur an extra $10 charge per session.
Conference, Wedding and Course Bookings
– We quote for each booking individually as there are always many variables.
