A Home-based Educator
This care takes place in the home of the educator. The educator has a maximum four children in their care with no more than two children under two years of age. This ensures personalised care, attention and educational opportunities for your child within a small social environment.
We can direct you to home-based educators in the areas of town that suit you (be it close to your home or work). You arrange a time with the educator to meet with them at their home so you can view the environment, educational resources, and work practices used. You can generally expect to take your child for a short visit or two to the educator during normal operating hours to see how your child enjoys the environment. Please discuss these visit times directly with the home-based educator.
The educator sets their rate, and is generally between $6-$8 per hour.
