Our evening babysitters are available to enable you to have a night out, confident in the knowledge that your children are safe.

Our babysitters are experienced; police, reference & credential checked and have current first-aid certificates, to ensure the highest quality of care for your children. 

Babysitting is any childcare after 6pm.  Our babysitters are $12.50 per hour for up to 4 children from the same family and $15.00 per hour for families sharing a babysitter (4 children maximum).  Babysitters for Public holidays, Christmas Eve and New Years Eve have different rates, please contact the office to find out more.

Please note that it is not always possible to meet the babysitter prior to the evening they are babysitting.  If you would like to meet your babysitter please let the office know and you will have to pay the babysitter for their time.

We will always endeavour to have the same babysitter with you with each booking.  To ensure this please give us as much notice as possible.

Always leave your contact details, children’s details and an alternative contact for your babysitter and let them know if you are going to be late.

Babysitters are paid in full at the end of the evening, please ensure that you have the correct money and pay for any extra hours or part thereof.
PLEASE NOTE OUR OFFICE IS CLOSED FROM 2PM 24TH DECEMBER TILL 9AM 29TH DECEMBER AND ALSO FROM 2PM 31ST DECEMBER TILL 9AM 5TH JANUARY.  WE WILL NOT BE TAKING ANY BOOKINGS OR ENQUIRIES DURING THIS TIME. SORRY FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE.

PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOU ARE FILLING IN THIS FORM FOR A BABYSITTING POSITION WITHIN THE NEXT 48 HOURS PHONE THE OFFICE DIRECT.  PLEASE DO NOT FILL IN THIS FORM ON A FRIDAY FOR BABYSITTING IN THAT WEEKEND.

Agency fees

• $20.00 per babysitter per babysitting booking
• Bookings made on the same day or on our after hours phone incur a $25.00 agency fee
• If the booking is cancelled less than 24 hours prior then the agency fee will still apply
• Cancellations less than 2 hours prior to the babysitting booking or no shows on your part will incur a $45.00 fee which will be invoiced to you.
• Overnight bookings incur a $40 agency fee per night

The Babysitting Club

A very popular membership club in which you pay your agency fees in advance.   We invoice you for $160.00 this gives you 10 agency fee sessions to be used within an 18 month period which means 2 sessions are free.  Talk to our coordinators for more information.

Baby Sitting Terms and Conditions of Annie’s Nannies

Annie’s Nannies is a trade name owned by Florence Nightingale Childcare Ltd.  Any reference in these terms and conditions to “Annie’s Nannies” or “the Agency” refers to the legal entity Florence Nightingale Childcare Ltd.

1. The Agency agrees to ensure that your baby sitter:

• has a current First-aid certificate,
• has a full/clean NZ. Driver’s License,
• has childcare experience (in addition to babysitting experience),
• provides quality care for your children, including entertaining, meals, bed & bath routines and
• ensures that your child/rens’ routines and your instructions are adhered to.

2. You agree to:

• provide a safe/secure environment for the babysitter,
• provide a smoke free environment for the babysitter,
• provide tea & coffee making facilities for the babysitter,
• pay all monies owed (including the Agency Fee) in full to the babysitter that evening and
• sign these Terms & Conditions.

3. Employment of a babysitter through Annie’s Nannies Babysitter and Babysitting Agency constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.

4. If the employer cancels the services of a babysitter less than 24 hours before the booked babysitting session, the Agency Fee of $20 still applies.

5. Annie’s Nannies Babysitter and Babysitting Agency (“the Agency”) has used its best endeavours, in reviewing the babysitter’s references, qualifications, training, experience and information disclosed by the babysitter and/or referees, to select a babysitter suitable for your needs as advised by you.  If, for any reason, your babysitter proves unsuitable or unsatisfactory for you, or the employment of the babysitter is terminated due to the babysitter becoming ill or terminating her/his employment, the Agency will use its best endeavours to provide a suitable replacement babysitter.

6. The Agency Fee is non-refundable and is paid for procuring the babysitter.  All payments are to be made directly to the baby sitter at the conclusion of the session.  Any shortfalls in payments shall be invoiced to you and overdue accounts will attract penalty interest of 2% per month.  Where overdue accounts are referred to a collection agency the account will incur additional collection costs which you agree to pay.

7. The Agency acts as agent for you and is not an employer of babysitters.  The Agency’s role is to procure suitable placements, bearing in mind the information and requirements supplied by you and the availability of suitable babysitters.

8. The agency accepts no liability or responsibility for any injury, loss mishap, accident or illness suffered by you or any other person as a result of the employment of the babysitter and you agree to indemnify the Agency should any action be taken against the Agency as a result of your employment of the babysitter.  In the event that you, notwithstanding this clause, endeavour to issue proceedings and are successful against the agency, then the quantum of damages shall be limited to TEN DOLLARS ($10.00).
